Horse enthusiasts journey to New Market’s River Glen Equestrian Park each year to compete in horse trials of various disciplines. River Glen’s rolling hills, woodlands, and pastures stretch 200 acres along the Holston River. There are 84 permanent stalls at the privately owned facility. River Glen hosts its own horse shows and also leases the facility to equestrian groups.

 

 

 

 

Chestnut Hill Horse Show

 

This horse show is sponsored by the Chestnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department, June 29th & 30th. The show will be held at the former Chestnut Hill Elementray School at the intersection of Highway 411 and 92. Event begins at 7 pm and for more information please contact George Ownby 865-805-6305

Dumplin Valley Concert Series: Hosted at Havely Farm
From April - October, enjoy live music at a family-friendly venue, Havely Farm. On the second Saturday of the month, the gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the music begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information and tickets, call (865) 567-6944 or email DumplinValleyConcerts@charter.net. A list of dates and musical acts is below. A $5 per person donation is accepted. Overnight campsites are available for an additional $5.

Every Thursday in September
Enjoy the last warm summer nights listening to great music outdoors.  Not only will you have a great time, you will give back to the community. You can gain admission by simply donating non-perishable food items to the local food pantry.

Fishing with Friends Days
